One brush stroke at a time...
Painting has always been an inspiration to me. I love the way each brush stroke comes together to create something beautiful. My favorite style of painting is realistic paintings. There is a deep spiritual aspect to being able to reflect a little piece of God's immense creativity portrayed on a surface in a way that people can reflect on the beauty of what has been created. I love the texture that can be attained depending on each brush stroke, palate knife or fingers.
This is a series of children portrait paintings that explores the emotions and expressions of children. The pieces are done from photos that have captured a moment revealing the simplicity and innocence of a child's expression.

What better for a wedding gift than a painted portrait of the couple getting married using one of their engagement photos?!
In the past year I have begun painting these couple portraits to give as wedding presents! |
These are inspired by my nephews and their love for animals. Just like in my portraits of children the goal of these pieces is to express personalities and childish playfulness. It is starting with llamas but will continue to include other animals.
